High-Volume HDF: The Sustainability and Environmental Perspective

In this webinar environmental issues and measures of chronic hemodialysis therapy will be addressed. Hemodialysis saves lives but consumes large amounts of water and power and produces a lot of care-related waste. It must be a goal for the nephrology community to implement measures to save water for the HD therapy. Beyond its superiority on patient survival, hemodiafiltration must also be considered a possibility to spare dialysate and water consumption without jeopardizing the dialysis dose delivery.
