AREP Roundtable: How to Talk to Patients about Home Therapies
Description
This symposium will cover important aspects of how to effectively talk to your patients about home kidney replacement therapies. The speakers will review the barriers to modality education, discuss the multidisciplinary team approach to educating patients, review strategies to empower your patients for self-care, and provide examples of resources available to support staff and patients. The symposium will finish with an interactive panel discussion with perspectives from nephrologists, nurses, and patient advocates.
