This replay of a recorded targeted module, led by Dr. Roger Rodby, Professor of Medicine Division of Nephrology Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, IL, delves into critical components of Continuous Kidney Replacement Therapy (CKRT).
This module provides:
- an exploration of the optimal timing for initiating CKRT, informed by current literature and clinical guidelines
- a foundational understanding of CKRT anticoagulation strategies, including the mechanisms, choices, and management of anticoagulants to prevent circuit clotting and optimize therapy
- a review of various fluid options used in CKRT, discussing their implications for patient management and therapy efficacy
This integrated approach aims to equip critical care clinicians with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective CKRT implementation and management in diverse clinical scenarios.
