Practical Guide to Delivering High-volume Hemodiafiltration
Description
This course provides an introduction to high-volume hemodiafiltration (HDF) and the motivation for achieving high convection volumes. Then, the patient-, technical-, and prescription-dependent factors that can affect the convection volume achieved with HDF are discussed. Finally, an example of a high-volume HDF prescription and proposed steps to increase the convection volumes for adult prevalent patients with mature vascular access are discussed.
