Ins and Outs: A CKRT Literature Review

Description

Management of critically ill patients with acute kidney injury (AKI) can be an incredibly complex task, and many of these patients will require therapeutic support with kidney replacement therapy. Current KDIGO guidelines suggest using continuous kidney replacement therapy (CKRT) for patients with AKI who are hemodynamically unstable. To optimize outcomes in this patient population, careful consideration of multiple patient- and disease-specific factors is essential. Clinical evidence pertaining to patient management continues to evolve at a rapid pace, and it may be challenging for busy clinicians to keep up with the latest clinical evidence. This webinar is designed to assist nurses, physicians, and other clinicians by providing a top-level summary of key recent publications pertaining to fluid management, medication dosing, and nutritional support for patients with AKI who require CKRT. It will also place this evidence in the context of contemporary treatment paradigms, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding the presented materials.
