Description

This replay of a recorded targeted module, led by Dr Christopher Hebert, Assistant Professor of Medicine and Nephrology Baylor Scott and White Health, Baylor University Medical Center Dallas, TX, provides a comprehensive overview of anticoagulation strategies in Continuous Kidney Replacement Therapy (CKRT).

You will learn about:

  • the indications and contraindications for various anticoagulants, including heparin, citrate, argatroban, and bivalirudin
  • insights into the dosing protocols for each anticoagulant and understand the potential complications associated with their use
  • practical considerations for selecting and managing anticoagulation therapy based on patient-specific factors and clinical scenarios

This focused approach aims to enhance expertise in optimizing anticoagulation in CKRT to improve patient outcomes and minimize adverse effects. Included in the presentation will be interactive polling questions and a chance to engage with critical care experts during a live Q&A session.
